Birthday Boy!!
The birthday boy gets to pick what he wants for lunch and dinner that day. He always wants dinosaur chicken, mac and cheese and fruit salad. Every night right before bed we talk about our favorite parts of the day. Alex's favorite part of his birthday was that there was melon in the fruit salad!

Something to try....when you ask Alex what his fav part of the day was...ask him "why" and see if he can give you a good reason. That's something we are working very hard on in 1st grade this year and because my kids have never been asked to defend their ideas they can't do it... It's hard...
